This group is operated by The LOFT Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center Inc (Do Business As Name The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center) (9-21-21). The LOFT is a meet-up location for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and allied communities. With more than 30 regular groups and numerous special events throughout the year, the center provides a safe and affirming environment to be yourself and meet new people or reconnect with old friends. Our meet-ups fall under four main categories: support, education, celebration and advocacy.
The LOFT is a non-profit community organization based in Westchester County and serving the lower Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ community since 1983, when it began in a loft space!

The Lesbian Social Network (LSN) is an open topic group run by a trained peer facilitators. The group is for those ages 18 and older, who identify as lesbian or who are partnered with someone who identifies as a lesbian, Bi, Pan, questioning or queer.
Takes place every Friday evening of each month from 7:30-9pm ET.

- VIRTUAL: Transgender Peer Support GroupLink visible for attendees
The Transgender Peer Support Group is an open topic group run by a trained facilitator for individuals who identify as transgender, gender non-conforming, non-binary, gender-fluid, gender-queer, intersex, or are questioning their gender (18 and older).
This group meets 4 times a month, on the 1st and 3rd Sundays from 4:00pm to 5:30pm, and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.
If a month has 5 Saturdays and/or Sundays the group will meet then as well. Just check the group calendar which day the group will fall on.

Turkey Mountain Nature Preserve:
Yorktown, NY
Sunday November 17th
10:00 AM-12:30 PMWith an elevation of 831 feet, Turkey Mountain features spectacular views of the Croton Reservoir, Hudson River and Manhattan skyline! There are approximately 3 miles of trails within the 150 acre preserve that are rated as moderate in difficulty. There is no specific address to get to the trailhead parking lot. Directions from the northbound Taconic State Parkway are posted below. Setting your GPS to the Turkey Mountain Nature Preserve will take you right to the parking lot. For anyone wanting to take public transit, it can arranged to pick a few people up at the Fleetwood Metro-North Station. Please RSVP to group facilitator Joe Nappi at [email protected]. Located off of NY 118/Saw Mill Road.
Coming north on the Taconic State Parkway, take the Underhill Avenue exit and turn east toward Yorktown Heights. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Route 118. Go 1.9 miles, until there are signs for Croton Heights Road on the left and Croton Heights Rd/Locke Lane will be on the right. This is an ongoing series of discussions with J Cruz, MSW/MSEd. Pre-registration is not required. Throughout our lives we experience all sorts of types of loss such as a partner, family member, pet, job, health, relationship, etc. This discussion and support group is for members of the LGBTQ community to have a safe space to grieve and discuss the feelings of loss they are experiencing.
