A completely different experience - a 3-day / 2-night weekend getaway WFA course at the Frost Valley YMCA campus in the Catskills with lodging and all meals included!
It’s vital to have the tools, the right skills, and the know-how to improvise when faced with a medical emergency in the backcountry. Learn practical WFA skills and gain the confidence to step up, make decisions, and create positive outcomes from unpredictable situations. Hands-on exercises improve retention and confidence. Developed for the public by Search & Rescue professionals, learn the most current practices for patient assessments, splinting, environmental emergencies like venomous snakebites, medical emergencies like strokes, illnesses, and more.
Upon completion, students receive a 2-year ASHI WFA certification, accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and accepted by Scouts BSA and GSUSA.
Minimum Age: 12 years old - the minor(s) and a parent/guardian must all be paid registered participants.
