Mountains-to-Sea Trail: Wilkerson Nature Preserve to Falls Lake or Raven Ridge Rd is a moderately trafficked loop located in Raleigh. It features beautiful wildflowers and offers several activity options and is accessible year-round.

NOTE: **Wilkerson is closed on Mondays. On other days, the park opens at 10:00**

• What We'll Do
The trail starts on Hidden Rocks Loop to Pond Loop then Epps Forest Loop. Get on MST Connector to Falls Lake Trail or Raven Ridge Rd. Right on Long Leaf Trail to Falls Lake Trail, back on Long Leaf Trail, Blue Dot Trail and back on Falls Lake Trial. Finally, right on MST Connector and bear right on Epps Forest Loop.

•• Trails: Epps Forest Loop, Hidden Rocks Loop, Pond Loop, Falls Lake Trail, Long Leaf Trail, Blue Dot Trail.

•• Distance: About 4 to 5 miles. 486 ft elevation.

•• Difficulty: Moderate, unpaved with some tree roots, and rocks

\*\* Speed: Our average hiking speed is 3 MPH, approximately from 2.7 to 3.3 mph, depending on the terrain. You can keep pace with the group or hike faster or slower. If you decide to hike at a different pace, we strongly recommend having a copy of the trail map or a hiking app such as Alltrails. Some trails have side trails that can make finding your way back challenging.

No activity is planned.

• What to Bring
Plenty of WATER, comfortable hiking shoes or boots (recommended), walking sticks, clothing appropriate for the weather, sunscreen, and perhaps a snack. In bug season we also recommend a good mosquito and other insect repellent.

• No show or running late
Please update your RSVP if you cannot make it to this hike. This will allow those on the waitlist to join the hike. If you are running late, please text or call the hike organizer.

• Important to Know
Please let the hike organizer know if you do not intend to complete the hike. While we are not liable for you on the trail, we do want to keep track if possible.

• Dogs: well-mannered, friendly dogs on leashes 6 ft or less are welcome.

• Weather Policy
If the weather forecast is rainy, we'll reschedule. If it's questionable, check our posting an hour or two before the event.
