This is a check in event to see who is still interested in being a member of the group. As a group organizer I am charged based on the number of members in the group. This is an event to see who is responsive and would like to stay in the group and eventually attend these monthly events. If you are local and you reply, you'll stay in. If you have never attended an event, do not check in here, or do not respond to multiple messages you will be removed to make room for somebody else that would like to attend.
This is also a fundraiser to help pay the monthly organizer fees that I pay to Meetup and help cover the cost of supplies such as citronella fuel for the torches, citronella candles, mosquito treatments, paper plates, plastic bowls and silverware, burgers, tacos, chili, community beer and beverages, open bar, propane (my god the propane costs!!), etc... Nobody is required to donate anything. Everybody is always welcome even if you can't contribute anything. Its $200 for the years subscription to Meetup right now. Each event I come out of pocket $100-$150 to make these events happen. You can donate on here through Meetup or you can donate via Zelle, Cashapp, or Venmo. My phone number is 757-915-7302.
