**IN A NUTSHELL**

This is an easy out-and-back walk taking approximately 45 mins each way, beginning and ending at Waimairi Beach. Timing allows for coffee and a snack at the New Brighton Market. A great beginners walk, all flat and total distance approx. 5km. Kids and doggos welcome.

**WALKING WONDERS GRADING SYSTEM**
Walking Wonders has introduced a grading system for all walks, with Level 1 the easiest and Level 5 the most challenging. **THE WALK**
This is a lovely walk along the beachfront from Waimairi to New Brighton, with the sea alongside you all the way. Doggos will love running up and down the beach and splashing in the surf (if you let them!). Don't forget your warm layers as it can be very cool by the sea.

New Brighton has a regular market on Saturday mornings with a wide variety of delicious food and market stalls. We'll stop here for a coffee/snack before heading back. Those who wish to head back earlier are welcome to do so.

**BRING**
Bring: 1L water, warm layers, hat, sunscreen and a $2 contribution to Meetup fees (note these are going up 50% to approx $170 every 6 months). You're welcome to bring your doggo too 😊. Casual shoes (e.g. sneakers) are fine for this walk.
