Making art Discovering Seoul in Seonyudo Park

Details

Have you ever visited a serene park early in the morning?

Seonyudo Park was once a small mountain peak in the middle of the Hangang River, praised by artists and poets during the Joseon Dynasty for its striking scenery. During the Japanese occupation, it was destroyed to build roads. It served as a water purification plant supplying tap water to Seoul from 1978 to 2000. Now, it is one of the most beloved parks and has been awarded as one of the most beautiful parks by architects.

Let's experience the accumulated history of this place and capture it in your sketchbook, notepad, or smartphone! Enjoy your time there and share with us what you felt and marked.

We'll meet on the "lawn" near the management office and discuss at "Cafeteria Naru". (Please refer to the red rectangle in the main banner.)

What to bring

  • Pen & paper (whatever you prefer—it doesn't matter as long as it suits you)
  • Nothing else—you have your smartphone!

Details

  • 11:00 AM: Meet and greet
  • 11:30 AM: Explore and create art
  • 1:00 PM: Reconvene at Cafeteria Naru in the park to share our work (optional)

Remember, sharing our creations helps us all improve!
