Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Melita's Annual Shop Small Holiday EventMelita's Home, Ossining, NY
Saturday November 30th & Sunday December 1st - 10:00am - 6:00pm
Please join me for some local shopping! Whether you are looking for unique handmade crafts, or one-of-a-kind gifts, it's the perfect place to find something special while enjoying the magic of the season.
I'm planning to head over on SATURDAY morning at 10:00am to see Luis at First Village Coffee. After I have my vanilla latte and cheddar jalapeño scone, I'm going to make my way next door to Melita's Home where Melita has a great collection of unique gifts. She is also hosting local women artists and their work. And she does great upholstery work if you need anything updated. After perusing her selection, I'll take a quick walk around the corner to visit Amy at Hudson Valley Books For Humanity. It's a great local bookstore which also hosts lots of community events. On my way back to the car I'll swing through the Down To Earth Ossining Farmers Market to get my weekly pickle supply.
I have to be back home by 12:30pm so I'll be heading home around 12:15pm.
Please feel free to join me for any part of Saturday morning, or go on your own and check out downtown Ossining. Say hi to Melita for me!

AllTrails App. This was the route from 12/2023: 2023 Route
Terrain: Rolling hills on carriage trails
Pace: Moderate, conversational pace with stops to regroup. We will most likely be finished in a little over three hours depending on the group speed. We will keep a pace similar to the Tuesday Traipse - 2.5mph. This hike will be a little longer than our usual traipse so be sure that you are able to hike the extra miles. Please give me a call if you have any questions about the hike.

This is not our exact route, our mileage will be longer. But it's a good description of the hike;
