The Liquescent Hike - Rockefeller State Park Preserve

Details

HIKE STARTS AT SLEEPY HOLLOW HIGH SCHOOL FIELD PARKING LOT!!

Please join me for a hike that will follow along some of the cool water features in the Park - The Old Croton Aqueduct, the Pocantico River, Gory Brook, 13 Bridges Road, the Triple Arch Bridge and more. We will also pass through Hulda's Glen, the home of Hulda The Witch, and venture up to Douglas Hill to take in the view of the Hudson River, Nyack, Kykuit, and the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Mileage: 7.0 ish miles

I have the hike posted for 4 hours but suspect we will be finished in around 3 hours.

AllTrails App. This was the route from 12/2023: 2023 Route

Terrain: Rolling hills on carriage trails

Pace: Moderate, conversational pace with stops to regroup. We will most likely be finished in a little over three hours depending on the group speed. We will keep a pace similar to the Tuesday Traipse - 2.5mph. This hike will be a little longer than our usual traipse so be sure that you are able to hike the extra miles. Please give me a call if you have any questions about the hike.

This is not our exact route, our mileage will be longer. But it's a good description of the hike;
