Harriman Red Cross Trail start at Timp and end at Lake Askoti/Skannatati

Details

You can join us for an 11-mile hike with about 1500 elevation gain. ATTENTION. This hike requires us to cross the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The hike will take about 6 hours plus shuttle time (2 x 30 minutes).
We will meet at Parking, Seven Lakes Drive, Southfields, NY 10975. GPS: 41.24299, -74.10163 for a prompt 8:45 AM departure. Do not go to the trailhead for the start of the hike as this may cause a problem for you in shuttling back. You must be able to assist in shuttling with the car you are driving. We will shuttle to the start of the hike at 1777 Trailhead, US-202/Route 9W, Tomkins Cove, NY 10986. GPS: 41.27429, -73.97305.
We will begin the hike on the (R ) 1777 trail and work our way up Timp. Here we will pick up the Red Cross Trail. The trail will take us through Horn Hill, Big Bog Mountain, Flaggy Meadow Mountain, and Hasenclyer Mountain before arriving at Lakes Askoti/Skannatati.
