**Hike:** Waterfalls are roaring. Let's hike Wallace Falls. Unlike many trails, which sacrifice peripheral scenery on the journey for the prospect of a grand summit view, the Woody Trail is consistently gorgeous as you wind your way along the Wallace River and approach the nine dazzling falls. We will be hiking to the upper falls.

**Distance:** About 6.2 miles, round-trip
**Elevation gain**: 1750 ft
**Pass:** Discover Pass required

**Meeting Place**: Meet at Wallace Falls parking lot trailhead. Boots on the trail at 8:45 am.

**Things to Know:** Bring food, water and poles (if you use them). Dress for the weather. Current forecast is mostly cloudy, light rain, high near 46.

I went to a training that stressed how important it is that all hikers in the group have the 10 essentials, not just the leader. It's okay to start small and gradually add more items.

**Carpool**: Arrange carpools in comments below. Don't forget to pay your carpool driver. It is also recommended to mask up. Here are the carpool contribution guidelines:
30 min drive= $5
1 hour drive=$10
2 hour drive=$20

**RSVP Etiquette**
As an attendee, if you cannot make a hike please change your RSVP to "not going" at least 24 hours in advance so that someone else can have your spot. Please contact hike leader for last minute cancels. Two no shows and you will be removed from the group.

**Directions:**
Take highway 2 East towards Gold Bar. Turn left onto 1st Street and drive .4 miles. Take a right onto May Creek Rd (there will be Wallace Falls signage for both turns).
Drive up May Creek Rd for 1.3 miles until you reach a Y-junction. Go left and drive up a short path into the large Wallace Falls State Park parking lot. Please do not park along the road that accesses the parking area for Wallace Falls State Park. There are bathroom facilities at the trailhead.
