Improv Games, In Person!
Details
As we continue in person Improv sessions OUR FIRST PRIORITY IS KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE!
A close second is helping people find plentiful reasons to laugh, learn, and grow in these weird times.
Due to safety being our #1 goal, and science being important, we will be keeping up with the latest CDC guidelines to determine precautions for our attendees.
We will also be requiring that attendees provide proof of boosted vaccination against COVID-19.
If you are unable to get vaccinated for medical reasons, PLEASE LET US KNOW.
Attendees can provide proof of vaccination:
- In person at the venue
- Beforehand, by electronic means
People who are unable to provide proof of vaccination (Without a medical preclusion) will NOT be allowed entrance to the event
Attendees will need to provide a phone number to enable contact tracing, in case of any exposure
Attendees who have already provided proof of vaccination DO NOT need to do so again
Masking is at each attendee’s discretion, but not required. (Unless CDC guidance changes)
Masks will be available for anyone who wants them.
The above is subject to change as the CDC guidance evolves.
Thank you for reading and complying with all of the above, now on to the improv session details:
We will meet in person and play improv games in a fun, relaxed, and judgment free setting.
People of all backgrounds and experience levels, especially no experience, are welcome!
We will start with a quick chat about the spirit of improv, an introduction to the fundamentals of improv, and then warm up both body and mind with exercises practicing improv principles.
We will then play games to help learn each other’s names, games to be intentionally silly, large group games, and explore smaller scale scene work; all while making sure that everyone gets an enjoyable amount of “stage” time.
We will wind down with a final group game and end with a round table for feedback on the session, announcement of upcoming events, and/or creative projects.
Join us to improve your ability to think on your feet, learn more about improvisation, let your creativity come out to play, and/or just have fun in what some of our attendees like to call your “Weekly weird!”
Cost is $5 to play and free to watch.
All fees will go towards the rental of the space.
