Jenn found her way to yoga and meditation after years of resistance to slowing down. She completed her RYT-200 in 2023 and has been on a journey to support others on their own wellness paths since. She’s currently a traveling instructor who has taught students of diverse backgrounds in the US, Mexico and El Salvador. Off the mat, she enjoys surfing, cycling, writing and being in nature. Jenn believes yoga is for every body and aims to leave students feeling grounded and empowered each time they show up.Heal One World is a nonprofit dedicated to providing holistic preventative healthcare services and low or no cost—no one is turned away due to lack of funds. Class Description:
This is a thorough class that is open to anyone who already practices yoga. The aim is practice and refinement rather than perfection and ''you are expected to challenge yourself''. The sequence starts with the meridian stretches, arms, side body, front and back body, followed by a rigorous vinyasa flow. There are several opportunities for inversions, and there is time to explore traditional postures or variations of postures that are already within your practice.Teacher Bio:
I am a 300-hour plus yoga teacher with a personal practice for several years. I have traveled and practiced in different cultures and languages. My teaching method draws upon various aspects; I teach Meridian Yoga Therapy, a therapeutic hatha-based sequence, that offers students the opportunity to embody the meridians and learn self-acupressure points within a traditional asana practice.Heal One World is a nonprofit dedicated to providing holistic preventative healthcare services and low or no cost—no one is turned away due to lack of funds. If you have any issues signing up for or attending the class please email [email protected] as soon as you experience problems.Class Description:
This yoga class emphasizes the importance of slowing down with strength and stability. Beginning with slow and gentle movements to awaken the body, we transition into a slow flow, focusing on our breath and alignment with the use of props. Variations to certain postures will always be given and encouragement to listen to what your body needs will always be reinforced. This class is perfect for anyone looking to establish a foundation in their practice or simply to slow down and reconnect. All levels are welcome.Teacher Bio:
My yoga journey began nearly a decade ago after I decided to step away from collegiate running. What started out as a simple way to remain active quickly turned into an awakening far beyond anything I could've imagined. Much like a candle's flame illuminating a room and its pieces of furniture, so too did yoga illuminate my life, giving me direction, purpose, and meaning where there was once none. I have experience practicing several types of haṭha yoga and the eight limbs, but in more recent years (mostly due to an MS diagnosis) have learned to slow down my practice and listen to what my body needs. I am RYT-200 certified with Yoga Alliance and hold a master's degree in Yoga Studies ('22), both of which were received from Loyola Marymount University. I firmly believe that anybody can find healing and transformation through the many practices of Yoga, that there is no "one size fits all" practice. I am passionate about helping others discover for themselves their inner flame, as well as spreading the knowledge that I've garnered over the years.Heal One World is a nonprofit dedicated to providing holistic preventative healthcare services and low or no cost—no one is turned away due to lack of funds. I am a registered 200-hour yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and have completed yoga teacher training at the University of Utah. I have previously taught gentle flow, vinyasa, and chair yoga. I first started practicing yoga in 2015 with curiosity and to better cope with stress during my freshman year in college. Based on my personal experience, I learned how yoga and mindfulness play a huge role in feeling grounded and anchored in my life. Yoga has helped me navigate through my life as I found a way to cope with uncertainty and anxiety. I love to share my energy with others who are both new and experienced in yoga.
