Description:
We are thrilled to announce an upcoming kayaking event, covering a scenic route from Sheung Sze Wan to Green Egg Island and the surrounding islands. Spanning approximately 7.5 kilometers, this adventure is ideally suited for intermediate kayakers seeking a memorable experience on the water.
Highlights:
During this event, participants will have the unique opportunity to explore beautiful coral, captivating rock formations, secluded beaches, and enchanting sea caves that can only be accessed by kayak. Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the area while enjoying a thrilling and invigorating activity.
Preferential RSVP: If you signed up for our Green Egg Island event from November 8 that was cancelled due to the typhoon, rest assured that you will get preferential RSVP status to attend this event. Simply let me know and I will ensure you join us.
Single Kayak Price: 200.00
Double Kayak Price: 300.00 (it is your responsibility to pair up with someone)
Life vests: Free of charge (not mandatory but are recommended)
Reservation: Due to the unpredictability of the weather, the kayaking center is requesting that we make our reservations a week before the event via their WhatsApp number (see below) or in person at the center.
How to make a PAYMENT before the date: To secure your kayak (single or double) you must follow these steps:
1. Contact the Acacia Bay Canoe company at 852-461-12279 via WhatsApp with the following details: Tell them you want to reserve a Single or Double Kayak on Saturday, December 14.
2. Wait for them to send you the details on how to pay: FPS or PayMe.
3. Once your payment is confirmed from the company, Acacia Bay Canoe, simply post a message in the chat to let me know you're all set to go.
Cancelations/Changes: Any cancelations or changes are YOUR responsibility. Please contact Acacia Bay Canoe company for details.
What to bring:
- 2-3 liters of water (water available for sale along the way)
- Snacks to eat along the way (sandwich, fruits, nuts, etc)
- Aqua shoes or Water shoes
- Watersport Gloves (not necessary)
- Sunglasses
- Goggles
- Headgear (cap/hat)
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Waterproof phone case
- Dry Bag (to keep your personal items dry)
- Lock (for your locker)
Changing Rooms: There is a changing room available for you to use for changing in and out of your gear.
Lockers: Lockers are available. Please bring your own lock.
Toilets: There are toilets at the rental center and near the pier by the 7-11 convenience store.
Showers: There are public showers nearby.
Stores: There are several convenience stores near the pier. It is best to come prepared with water and snacks.
Meeting Point: Hang Hau Station - Exit A2
Time: 10:00 am (SHARP!)
Participants: Limited to 15 kayakers (intermediate)
IMPORTANT: Out of respect to the members that arrive on time, we will only be able to wait a maximum of 5 minutes. Should you arrive after 10:05 am, I will no longer be answering phone calls or responding to messages as I need to give my time and attention to those that have arrived on time.

From Hang Hau Station > Nan Fung Plaza (Bus 16 - Po Toi O) > Sheung Sze Wan > Hiu Po Path (15 min walk)
Location: No. 14 Xiangsiwan Road, Clear Water Bay
-Take public transportation to the entrance of Xiangsiwan Village, and then walk for about 10 minutes.
-Taxi: Take a New Territories taxi (approximately $70) from Hang Hau MTR Station, please tell the driver to "Get off at Xiangsiwan Village Public Office/Public Toilet"
